Triphala is a Sanskrit word that means “three fruits.” This versatile Ayurvedic Herbal Dietary Supplement  is constituted with equal parts of three myrobalans (fruits of various trees of the genus Terminalia) namely Amalaki  or Amla or emblic myrobalan (Emblica officinalis), Bibhitaki or Baheda or belliric myrobalan (Terminalia bellirica), and Haritaki or Harad or chebulic myrobalan (Terminalia chebula).
